Email Settings
This article provides information about the Settings/Environment/Email page. Use the Email page to configure SMTP settings for emails sent from eplansoft REVIEW.
Step-by-step Guide
- Select Environment/Email from the Navigation menu.
- Complete Email Destinations section.
- From Name: Displays on the "From" field for system generated emails.
- From Email: Displays on the "From email" field for system generated emails.
- System Admin Email: Email(s) for users who are meant to receive System Alerts.
- Notification Interval: Number of minutes to wait before grouping notifications and sending them as a single email.
- Complete SMTP Settings section.
- Server Name: Enter the server address.
- Server Port: Enter port number used for outgoing emails.
- User: Enter the user name for the SMTP server account.
- Password: Enter the password for the SMTP server account.
- SMTP Status: Once settings are saved, page will display a Valid/Invalid SMTP Status Confirmation.
Note: During the initial setup, e-PlanSoft Review will temporarily use it's own internal SMTP settings.
Email Destinations
Complete this section as follows:
Field name | Description |
---|---|
From Name | Enter the 'From Name' to be used on emails sent from REVIEW. |
From Email | Provide the email address for emails sent from REVIEW. |
System Admin Email | Provide a valid email address(es) to Administrator(s) who should receive emails for all events. |
Notification interval | Emails will be sent at this frequency. After changing this value, a server restart is required for them to take effect. |
Changes to the Notification Interval will require a restart of your server. Click here to request a restart.
Users should be expelled from the portal prior to a restart.

Field name | Description |

Server Name | Enter the server address. |
Server Port | Enter the port number used for outgoing email. |
User | Enter the user name for the SMTP server account. |
Password | Enter the password for the SMTP server account. |
Select the Save button (required).
