Creating a Comment Report Letter

To create a comment report letter (or “Corrections Report”) manually, navigate to the project’s COMMENTS tab and follow the process outlined below.

Filter Comments

From the COMMENTS tab you can either generate a comment report letter using all existing project comments or filter the list of comments using the “Filters” panel options to focus on a desired subset for your comment report letter. Any filters selected will be applied to the comments table list.

Staff are advised to at least use the “Open” Comment Disposition filter to exclude any “Closed” (or otherwise resolved) comments from the list so they are not included in a manually created comment report letter. For integrated clients, this exclusion occurs automatically.

Select Comments

Once comments are filtered as desired, either select all or select specific desired comments to include in the comment report letter.

Only selected comments (those with a checkmark next to them) will be included in the generated comment report letter.

Preview Comment Report Letter

Once at least one comment has been selected, click on REPORT ( ) to begin creating a comment report letter. This will step you through the process, beginning with the option to preview the comment report letter.

  1. Click on REPORT ( ) and a pop-up window appears displaying your Agency’s configured report templates. (This step is referred to as the “Template” step.)

  2. Select the desired template from the list on the left.

  3. On the right side of the window you can preview how the comment report letter will look.

If you do not find the expected comment report letter template listed, contact your Agency Administrator for more information.

Create Comment Report Letter

Once you have confirmed the preview looks good, continue the process to create the comment report letter.

  1. In the preview window, click Next to go from the “Template” step to the “Save As” step.

  2. EPR automatically displays a suggested filename based on the template’s filename configurations, but you can modify this manually, if desired.

  3. Clicking on the file type after the filename will allow you to switch between the default .pdf selection and an alternate .docx file option.

    1. For integrated clients, comment report letters that are generated automatically by the integration will be routed back as .pdf files.

  4. To complete the creation process, click Create.
