Inserting Standard Comments into your project
This article provides information for searching the Standard Comment Library to insert one or more records into your plan review project.
Prerequisites:
- Standard Comments for Permitting and or Design Review projects have been uploaded into the Comments Library.
- A project record has been created.
- The user has opened the Project Comments Page or is adding a comment on the Review Page.

About the Standard Comments Library
The Standard Comments Library is a repository for clients to upload and manage standard comments as a resource to their plan review staff.
- For more information, see Adding Comments and The Project Comments Tab.
- Standard comment records are associated to either For Permitting or For Design Review purpose.
- Contact your site administrator for assistance uploading new records into the Comment Library.
Configured permissions manage add, edit and delete rights to the Comment Library records.
Search Features
Because the Comments Library may contain several thousand comment records, a keyword search is provided to help narrow search results.
For example, enter ceiling fan in the search field to find standard comments that contain this phrase.
Filtering Options
In addition to the keyword search, use the dropdowns to choose other filter options as desired.
Choosing Comments to Insert
To insert a single record into the Comment Form on the Review page:
- Navigate to the desired comment library record.
- Click on the +INSERT button that appears to the right of the comment record.
- The selected record will be inserted into the Comment form on the Review page.
To insert one or many records into the Project Comments page:
- Use the checkboxes on the left of the search results to the desired comment library records
- Click on the +INSERT button that appears at the upper right corner of the page.
- The selected records will be inserted into the Project Comments page.
Saved Searches
Any applied keyword search phrases or selected filters will be retained for your next visit to the Comments Library.
